Raised in New York and singing in church from the age of four, Michelle David carries a voice forged in gospel tradition and honed on stages around the world.
From early performances with The Mission of Love to starring roles in Broadway productions such as Mama, The Sound of Motown, Glory of Gospel and Mahalia, her powerhouse vocals have also graced studio sessions with icons including Diana Ross and Michael Bolton.
Since joining forces with The True-tones, David has released seven acclaimed albums that blend gospel fire with raw, heartfelt soul. Their electrifying live shows have earned them spots at Pinkpop, North Sea Jazz, extensive European tours, and they performed at the Winter Olympics 2022. Celebrated by critics, the group has received an Edison Award nomination, BBC 6 Music Album of the Year, and FIP Radio Album of the Month.
